The Story of Jim (Poem)

There is this man, whose name is Jim
He's big, fat, doesn't go to gym
Society sees: A man of food
Society can't see that he's good.

Jim is kind and generous man
He offers food to everyone
He's not greedy, gives more to poor
He knows they need it more for sure.

Seen as lazy, fat in physique
They cannot see he is unique
There's value inside gift wrappers
Don't judge the book by their covers.

Mister Jim's sick of society
Doesn't follow the views of many
He, who joins the crowd, are like them
He, who joins the good, are not damn.

He decided to live by his rules
Doesn't let people feel like fools
He, who does good things, is just fine
He, who seeks good in life, shall find.

I once got food from Mister Jim
I have learned to give thanks to him
I'm one of the children in streets
Before my adoption and treats.

Thank you Mister, I'm doing good
I also share to people my food
Taught me: Giver than receiver
Let the society receive from giver.

Your last words still struck me:
"Choose happiness, not misery.
I'd rather die and be happy,
Than to live long and feel lonely."

Ate much despite society's views
Lived well before saying 'adios'
Your life to us is a message
Let's live our own and do not judge.
