To The Friend I Never Knew

To the friend I never knew we'd be friends
Well we had a lot of mutual friends since then
We see each other in the hallway
But just became friends until one day.

To a friend who requested for poetry
Sorry, can't think of a metaphor for a fine lady
This may not be an award winning piece
Hope my dedication would suffice.

To a friend who chats at random hours
And tells me their dish and i'll tell what's ours
Says she's hungry and tells the food she wants to eat
Looks for sardines and the sausage's her favorite.

To a friend I had long walk into the market
To buy some needs for an upcoming event
Glad you enjoyed the walk though it's tiring
And enjoyed the food you bought while walking.

To a friend who dreams the same as mine
Achieving the three-letter title is next in line
Hope we could help each other from time to time
To pass the board examinations in one time.

To a friend who gave me a gift
I was surprised, but it's food, I cannot keep
So glad that day that I really appreciate
Please accept this poem to reciprocate.

To the friend I never knew... much yet
There's still more to learn on days we meet
Thanks for a friendship we had for a year
