In the church, beside me is my special someone wherein we’re getting married. Just before the Priest announces that we’re married, there’s someone who poke my back. Then, I woke up and everything was a dream.

There’s a guy who is so addicted to Facebook has a friend in it named Maria in which he does not know personally. The guy deletes his unknown friends but the coincidence of not deleting Maria in his friends just let the girl remain. The guy is Zhab, studying in Republic Central Colleges (RCC), who is such a jolly, jocular, friendly and sociable person. He had befriended many of his fellow RCCians though he is a graduating student.
Zhab saw a girl who was very beautiful and pleasing and so fell in love at first sight, in his four years in RCC, it is his first time to see the girl though they are inside one school. He tried to know her name but failed to do it. He keeps the secret to himself.
One day, the girl, with her friend, approached Zhab for a question and so they talked. Zhab grabbed the opportunity to ask the name of the girl. He discovered that the girl on the Facebook and the girl he fell in love with was only one – she is Maria. What a coincidence, maybe the reason for the girl not to be deleted is because they are meant to know each other.
Zhab and Maria became friends. Since the day they knew each other, they often meet early in the morning on the corridor and anytime on their campus. Sometimes they talk even for a while. The guy even had the cellphone number of the girl, sometimes they text each other. Sometimes through Facebook, they have chat conversations and since both have Twitter, they tweet each other. Twitter became their best medium of communication since they’re both active there. There was a time while chatting; they agreed upon to call each other “Soulmate”.
Lucky for the guy, when he knew the girl was near to the JS Promenade so Zhab grabbed again an opportunity to dance with Maria for a wonderful moment. Maria did not decline and so they danced on the dance floor along with the song "King and Queen of Hearts". ♫
As time passes by, Zhab feels he’s really in love with the girl.
Graduation Day is getting nearer, Zhab decided of revealing his feelings to his special someone. He does not want to regret that he would not be able to express his feelings. It was Sunday evening, March 20, 2011.
Next day morning, he woke up early, preparing to go to school. He first went to 7-11 to buy a chocolate and then went to the flower shop to buy a red rose. He went to school neatly and patiently waited for Maria. Unfortunately, Maria came late so Zhab just asked his friend to give it to her.
Next day morning again, the same preparation happened, but Maria was absent. Zhab was disappointed but he never loses hope. In the evening, he sends her a text message about it and confirms if she will enter the school by tomorrow.
The next day, the same preparation happened and luckily, Maria came early. Zhab went to the classroom of Maria and called her. Maria came out of their room and she was surprised, maybe she didn’t expect that i get ready to tell her personally. Zhab didn’t hesitate to ask her “Pwede ba kita ligawan?” and she responded “Ngayon? Di pa pwede eh. Kaya mo ba maghintay?” Of course, I replied with “Yes!” J
That moment made them closer to each other; though Zhab was not yet given the chance for courting, he still shows that he passionately love the girl. They started to know each other better.
The guy is about to graduate, walking down the aisle, thinking that he will leave his school. The girl was not around but texted the guy that he cannot come for some reasons. The guy felt sad for a while but he understands the girl. Then, he just enjoyed the party for him for graduating in High School. Zhab will surely miss his Alma Mater!
For the whole summer vacation, they’re not able to meet even once. However, they still have communications via text message, Facebook and often on Twitter.
As they continuously communicate to each other, they have known each other even better; discovering a lot of common things and shares the same thing. Often, those common things to them binds them together.
Maria is an Azkals fan for they are trending that time and they are blooming in the limelight. She influenced Zhab and so both of them become fans of Azkals. Both of them also has their own Azkals T-shirt.
Also, both of them are fans of Demi Lovato and so they are called Lovatics. Demi is such an inspiration to both of them, behind her great and meaningful songs is a story of a change.
Time flies so fast, it’s the school comeback. However, Zhab and Maria are not together in one school anymore. Zhab has to move to Holy Angel University for his college degree, he took up BS Accountancy. On the other hand, Maria remains on RCC to finish her High School and she is next for graduation. Distance is not a hindrance for Zhab, he still visits RCC often to see her and visit his friends.
Maybe, distance is really a hindrance. For Zhab does not know what happens to Maria, he is being paranoid and curious about the girl’s current relationship status. Zhab thinks Maria has someone already, and his friends confirmed it. It is so hard for Zhab but he does nothing but to accept the fact that he is not the only guy for Maria.
Zhab, instead, sees it on the good perception. He treats Maria as a friend though he still truly loves her. He just thinks that it is the way that they would remain connected longer.
Maria’s birthday comes; Zhab prepares a gift for her that represents four things: “Happy Birthday” “I Love You”, “Thank You” and “Goodbye”. On the day of her birthday, August 9, 2011, Zhab allotted a little of his lunch break just to give his gift to Maria on RCC. Maria was surprised — very surprised – of the gift and Zhab is very glad that she liked it very much. The gift contains a T-shirt, baller, cellphone lanyard and ID lanyard designed with Azkals. However, Zhab did not say to Maria what he means for the gift, what is clear is that the gift is a present for her birthday.
Since that day, they were unable to meet for more than a month but they still communicate. Still, Zhab greets Maria “goodnight soulmate” often every night and text each other whenever available. Maria calls Zhab as a SG that stands Security Guard. How weird it is but it sounds funny for them.
However, Zhab looks jolly always, there’s a hidden feeling within him, and that is being hurt by Maria committed to someone else. He feels very emotional but still he is in the good perception. He makes it an inspiration to study better. He cannot deny to himself that he cannot move on and he always thinks of her. Many has changed to him and only Maria does it, how can he move on if the best part of him was only Maria. To relive the pain, he spends time studying and being inspired of the happenings.
Maria has been the inspiration of Zhab. Just like before, she is still the girl who can complete his day even a simple text can. How deep is the love of Zhab. Although he knows that the girl was taken, he did not care for all he can feel is only love - pure love. The pain is there but he keeps it to himself.
Also, Zhab was not really like that. Before, Zhab is a "Jump then Fall" person. He courts a girl then soonafter there's another for him. Until, Maria came and made a big change to Zhab. Zhab became so motivated to make himself a better guy for Maria and so he thinks that would be the way to make Maria fall to him. Though it was unsuccessful, it became too good for Zhab and he is still thankful that Maria came to his life. He loved, loves and will love Maria faithfully.
He concludes that it's really hard to move on if there's still communication. But, Zhab cannot cut the communication since it's the only way to connect with Maria and feel happy even once for a while.

However, Zhab can no longer handle the pain. He decided to buy an expensive ring for couples. He goes to RCC to talk with Maria. Zhab says “Maria, I will hand you this ring. Promise me that you will give that to your husband-to-be and he will wear you that ring on your wedding day. Can you promise me?” Maria responded, “I promise. But for what is this?” “Nothing. I just want it to happen. I need to leave now. Just remember, I loved you since the day I met you and until now, it didn’t change. Take care always. Goodbye” Maria waved goodbye and Zhab walked away with tears on his eyes.
For many years, they are not able to meet. How are they?
Maria is already a manager of a business. She is successful now . There is a guy who she meet halfway anywhere. It seems that they don’t know each other but coincidence lead them to curiosity.
The guy is a CPA Lawyer, he looks handsome and slim. He knew that the girl he meets halfway is a businesswoman and he planned to set up a date with her for a business.
They met halfway again, the guy approached Maria and told her to go on the certain restaurant at sunset but they we’re not able to introduce theirselves.
Before sunset, Maria prepares for the date with the mystery guy. She brought the ring that Zhab had gave him many years ago. She looks pretty as she go her way to the restaurant.
The guy is already waiting for Maria to come on the restaurant and as he see her entering the door, he stands up to welcome her and bring her to their reserved table.
Maria introduces herself first, and the guy was surprised.
“Fate brought us here, I knew you before already and now hand me the ring I gave you many years ago and I shall wear it to your ring finger. Now, I can say that it is really true, Soulmate”, the guy responded.
Maria was shocked, she cannot believe what happened and she remained speechless while getting the ring on her pocket. “Zhab, we have proven that soul mates do really exist. Now, I am willing to marry you and your long time courting is done”, she said while giving the ring to Zhab.
Zhab kneels, “Will you marry me, Soulmate?”
Maria embraces, “Yes, I will!”
