They Never Met At All

He's got that round shape yet he's hot
People on earth rise when he's out
This big hot ball was named the sun
Tell me, why is he adored by everyone?

One smaller shiny ball exist in the dark
People usually rest and refrain from work
This amazing ball was named the moon
Tell me, why is he adored by everyone?

No one seems to love gazing at the sun
The pain in the eyes like stroked by a gun
But people loves the morning greeting
And working under the sun's heating

Everyone seems excited gazing at the moon
Like meteor showers are falling too soon
That phenomenon people wants to see called eclipse
Looks like two people touching their lips

The irony is the two are catching up with each other
They want to meet and lit the Earth with their power
But the twist of fate tells the world:
When one's not there, the other must do its job to the world.

The sun rises on east and falls in west
In the night the moon works at its best
At some part of the world it's sunny
The other part is seen as dark but shiny.

People's long distance relationship talks on phone
They find it crazy to have different timezone
They don't realize how hard it will be every time
The sun and moon is separated forever in daytime and nighttime.

I believe the sun loves the moon so much it hurts
He works harder in giving light to the earth
So people could receive the light they needed
And don't ask too much light from the moon they had.

The worst part is they never met at all
They can't see, when one rise the other fall
They wander who lights the world when they're not around
They don't know another ball gives light to surround

The sun loves the moon so much
So separated they can't even touch
When one hides the other lit
He died every night to let her breathe.

Why does it have to be this way
For fate to decide the night and day
But is this better to never meet at all
Than meeting once but separated the two balls?
