In Her Place

One cold night, while watching a Pokemon movie in my newly bought laptop, my friends messaged me through text to visit a former classmate who has a serious illness in the hospital. There were two groups, I got confused to whom I shall come with, though for the same purpose. So I came with the group who will come early. Then i'll just go with the other group after visiting the sick to watch some movies in theater.

I woke up at 7 am today, and stayed in bed until 8 am. Just a normal day, bathe early, went out of the house early, came at the meeting place early. Though I skipped breakfast today.

We arrived at the hospital at 11 am, it was just me and my friends who are visitors of my former classmate. Just a normal visit, we came in for her, sadly we were not able to talk to her for she's still unconscious from an operation. I didn't know what is the operation at the moment. We got busy talking and reminiscing of the moments when we were still classmates with our former classmate who is sick, we also took a look at her pictures. It hurts to see a very happy woman lying in the hospital bed with a very serious illness. But we believe that she can make it through, she can fight, she can survive.

I can feel that our visit was just in time, just a normal visit and we are there to see our former classmate after an operation. We were wishing she wakes up before we leave.

I can hear the mother of my friend, so proud of her daughter and talks about how grateful she is to have a very kind daughter. She reminisces the childhood days of her daughter, remembers the wants and needs while she was young, and suddenly cries when she looks at the hospital bed.

In my mind, I was thinking. I hope she's well until we leave. I think I can't take to see a situation where the time of non-survival arrives. So I really wish she'll be fine.

At almost 12 noon, the nurse came to feed the sick. Suddenly after feeding, blood comes out of the mouth. I have no idea what's happening. Until the nurse called for other nurses, then the mother went near and told the sick "Paynawa na ka ne, magkasakit naku". (Take your rest now, it's hard for me to see you like that)

Suddenly, there's a little panic. We prayed for her at the moment while the nurses are doing some health check. We sincerely pray for her. It's the mightiest weapon we have. When it's getting crowded in the room, we went out to give space for nurses and doctors.

Until they called on the relatives of the family, even all the friends and professors of the sick. The doctors went out and talked to the parents of the sick. I knew that the mother is wiling to give up the fight already, and the father made the hardest decision and the hardest to accept which is to give up her daughter. I saw it all. I can feel something strange in me since it's my first time to witness such scenario. We were outside, and the parents are also out of the room, I can see and feel the grief they carry in them.

Then we entered the room again, they were praying the rosary and we joined. The priest also came and performed the anointing of the sick. Then the parents went in, talked to their daughter they are willing to give up to the Lord. As I see the parents crying while talking to the sick, I CRIED. Both eyes dropped the tears.

It is unusual for me to cry. Many things are entering my mind as the tears drop from my eyes, maybe I could just write another article for that.

Soon, several classmates and friends and relatives came in for the sick. So crowded that we already create noise and disturb other rooms. So everyone just went out of the area and just come back next time.

The normal visit became a teary-eyed visit, I wasn't able to eat breakfast and lunch today. I was standing for about 4 hours, starving. Our plan to watch a movie pushed through, but I didn't join them as I choose to go home. But it's okay.

We left the hospital feeling hopeless for her, now the hope revives as she continues to fight for survival.

I'll just continue praying for her. And for everyone who will be able to read this, please speak a silent prayer for the sick people in the world.

What if, I was the one, in her place?

Happy Teachers' Day :))

May nabasa ako..

Salute to all teachers out there. :)

Love Is A Beautiful Thing

Love is a beautiful thing
A noun, a verb, and a feeling
Love is a word in the dictionary
Can't define what feeling it could be.

You feel so near, distant for a mile
It makes you crazy, can make you smile
Makes hearts beat fast, not even tired
And cheeks turn red, not even fired.

You feel so related, not a relative
You don't know much, yet you believe
You want a date, not a calendar
You're so cheesy, not a cheddar.

Feeling like flying, ain't a bird
You think it's growing, not a beard
You look like blooming, ain't a flower
Moments are just minutes, feels like hour.

We always have our Type, not on netbook
You always wanna share, it's not facebook
He(She) is your favorite, don't have twitter
You make testimonials, no longer friendster.

Promise forever, you don't know yet
Breaking up, you just can't let
You're afraid to lose, it's not a game
Want the world to know 'Us', no fame.

Love is a beautiful thing
It's a different kind of feeling
What you feel differs to something else
You feel getting tickled pink, without tickles.

The Best Love Story That Was Never Told

During those nights that I can't sleep
Imagining things way too deep
Creating so perfect scenarios in life
How did it happen you are my wife?

I saw you and I together in a place
Making a vow blessed by the priest
In front of the crowd we kissed in lips
Tied with a promise each other keeps

We travel the world holding hands
Watch the concerts of our favorite bands
Going to the place where we first found
The place that we know where love is around

Some days we pick up a fight
We end up knowing what's right
Defends our love we think we deserve
My love for you is only reserved

Here where we stand to the distance of the star
That is the distance we had gone so far
Looking forward to the days when we're old
The days I'm the one to hug you when you're cold

Living in the house is one big family
Shelter of love where everybody's happy
Children were grown ups, we're getting old
The best love story that was never told

If this is a dream, I don't want to wake up
Well, I'm not dreaming 'cos I'm still up
I'm in my bed with no wife beside me
Well, I guess this is already reality

If only creating scenarios can be true
But it's not, there's nothing I can do
It's 2 in the midnight, I just lack of sleep
I must fall asleep, way too deep.

Once in my High School Life :)

4th Year High School, 3rd Grading Period
Reminiscing my high school years, I remembered that once in my high school life, I have been part of the Top students in our class. This was very special to me, and sounds a little funny.

I was the Top 8 student of our class, it ONLY happened when I was in 4th year high school, 3rd grading period. What sounds a little funny is that I became part of the top students only in 3rd grading, but on the 4th grading (which is the last) there is no chance for me to be part of the top ones.

Well, honestly, I find it amazing. I just think that God had made me taste what it's like to be on the Top students just before I graduate in high school. On one grading, just before I graduate, I felt a little proud of myself as it is unexpected.

As I have said, I'm a little proud, just a little. Why? Well, I haven't worked hard for that. It's still on those times that I cheat during exams. There's nothing to be proud. However, I'm a little proud because I still had exerted effort for my grades regarding the projects and other requirements. Moreover, everyone does it, so everyone cheats.

So what's that word in the closed parentheses? Inspired? Oh, "INSPIRED". Well, I have always been inspired :)

It's really great to reminisce such wonderful memories. You come to think the good and the bad things that had made the person you are now. Reflecting on your own self is really an advantage, you happen to know what must be done in order to improve one's self and to create a better you.

My Filipino Peeps

Roses are red, filipinos are brown.
You mess with us and your going down.
My sick pride, I will not hide.
My Filipino race, I will not disgrace.
My Filipino blood, flows hot & true.
My Filipino peeps, I will stand by you.
I will be a proud Filipino...

Thank God. I feel so blessed. :)

Thank God. I feel so blessed. :)

Which implies, kaya niyo pa ba magpatuloy from Financial Accounting 1 (FINAC1) to FINAC2.

Always ask God's presence and guidance.

So blessed. Out of 65 items YATA yun, 33 ang check ko.

Sabi nga nila, "It's not the grades that defines who you are."

Para sakin, "It is How you got your grades that defines who you are."

And that's you.

We survived. :)

Thank You God for this challenging experience. May you keep me in your church and let me go out spreading the faithfulness to you, my Lord. Be with me in my next semesters and I shall pass them all and achieve my dream, the dream you gave me which is to be a Certified Public Accountant. :)
